After my family and I moved to Cambridge about a month ago, we have been asking
and looking for a place to blow our shofars on Wednesday (last night) as the ‘feast of
trumpets’ (Yom Teruah, Day of Shofar blowing) was approaching. Interestingly, we
found that the highest point in Cambridge is the ‘Gog and Magog Hills’ which seems to
be extremely interesting. Somehow the name itself tells us that it is the place to go. So,
we had asked several people in Peterborough, Colchester, Wales and New Zealand to
join us as we were intended to blow our shofars on top of the hill at 6p.m.

The following narrates ‘what we did cooperatively in different places’ at the beginning of
Yom Teruah in 2024/25.

Peter and I were able to go up to the Gog and Magog Hills as planned. Prior to this, I
was reading Song of Songs as my daily portion of devotion this morning (Wednesday).
God spoke to me saying, ‘I will get myself ….to the hill of frankincense’ (Song of Songs
4:6, Complete Jewish Bible). Immediately I searched for the biblical meaning of
‘frankincense.’ It means ‘prayer and praise.’ I clearly knew that we were going up to the
hill for ‘prayer and praise’ where He will come and meet us. Also, He (the king) said that
‘you are … formidable as an army marching under banners. Turn your eyes away from
me because they overwhelm me!’ (Song of Songs 6:4, CJB). He confirmed that we
were marching under the heavenly army. It was so encouraging.

When we got there, some ladies from Colchester joined us via SMS (Social Media
Service) which we didn’t plan it at all but it happened on the spot. On top of the hill, I
proclaimed the words of Ezekiel 38 [The Lord’s Great Victory Over the Nations] and
then we sealed all declarations with our shofar blowing (rams horns). Also, we sang ‘Be
enthroned’ (Jeremy Riddle) and declared the lyrics of ‘God of this city’ (Chris Tomlin)
together: Greater things have yet to come and greater things are still to be done in this
city (Cambridge, Peterborough and Colchester).’ Then we sealed the songs of worship
with our long (kudu) shofar blowing.

Our dear church friend in Peterborough sent me several photos before 6p.m. and after
what she did. As shown in the photos below, the dark clouds in the sky were cleared
out after she had raised her voice while holding an invisible shofar. She said that she
was led (by the Holy Spirit) to blow like a shofar.

Indeed, Isaiah 58:2 says, ‘Raise your voice like a shofar!’ (CJB). She didn’t know this
verse before but she did it as the Holy Spirit led her. What an amazing testimony it is!
I really thank all who joined us tonight. I know that the Lord of Hosts did a mighty work
for our cities as we have brought them back to our King.

Finally, I strongly believe that the door of miracles has just opened from tonight and
greater things will come and be done onwards. We will see them with our own eyes.
